Day 44 July 26 2010

Travel day from Tonopah AZ to Lordsburg NM. Nothing exciting to report on, just another day of knocking out the miles on the return trip. You kind of start getting a little blue that it is all just about over for this trip. We did so much and took in so many things we are very fortunate to have had the chance to do. Tomorrow we will be in Texas again after 6 weeks on the road, of course so many people we met along the way that 6 weeks is nothing to them to be gone. One couple we met in North Bend, Oregon were from Deer Park and they leave in April and make the same run every year and return in October or November. Will continue tomorrow after getting in the good ole state of Texas.

This is what we woke up to, beautiful sunrise.
As we are leaving this park.
Their sign giving us directions last evening when we came in.
Beautiful pic of downtown.
Here is a pic of Phoenix AZ as we drove by.
Arizona Angels traning field.
Just some nice flowers along the highway (I-10).
And a few more.
Missed the Speedway sign but got the flag.
This was just a strange sighting. Looks like something from the Kiddy Park Rides.
Just information as to where we are on I-10 going east.
This looks a lot like the mountain range in Monterey Mexico.
Nice highway art.
Here is Tuscon AZ as we go by.
Just letting us know we are in Arizona.
Here we go down again.
More mountains to see.
All kinds of shapes.
And some Cactus along the way.
Notice the nice Blue Sky.
More Cacti.
Someone stacked these so nice.
We guess the wind makes these round on the edges.
We had to stop and stretch and look at all we got to see.
Information also about the Public Lands.
More from the rest area.
How does this cacti grow on rock ?????
Hope it doesn't fall.
All these rocks are covered with wire to hold them in place.
We made it to New Mexico today.
Where we are staying tonight. Lordsburg NM.
Nice and flat. Just not much shade.
The best pic I could get of the sunset due to clouds this evening.
