Another good DeMontrond Rally in Bandera Texas at Skyline Ranch RV Park.
Lots of Deer always in the park and around town.
This is our last week on the road before we head home.
We have not been here in a few years, with our other club. The have a nice rally hall and kitchen area.
Elizabeth Strickland, George and Mary Welsh and Janet Lambe were our host team for this rally.
We actually arrived on Saturday ahead of schedule by one day. we started to stop off on the way but decided if we go on to Bandera it was one less hooking up to do.
There were so many deer to greet us as we arrived. They were white tail not afraid of people at all. We bought a bag of deer corn and fed them each day we were there.
A lot arrived on Sunday. It was just a very hot time for all. We still have non working steps and Jesse and Mary arrived with non working steps but they got them working.
Elizabeth Strickland had her a/c go out and our president stepped up and offered her a place to sleep in the cool. Thank you LaVerne that was very nice of you. She called repair place but they couldn't get out first day and then they didn't show up the second day either, finally the third day they arrived. He was able to find problem and go to get the part. Cool air again finally.
We decided one night to pick up chicken and everybody bring something to go with it. Was nice to be able to sit in the rally room and enjoy each other company. Need to do this more.
We went to Brick's to eat once. we had pot luck on Thursday, and Catered meals on Friday and Saturday. Had continental breakfast on Friday and then A Full Breakfast on Saturday, with breakfast casseroles that were really good. one french toast and one with eggs.
We played bingo both Friday and Saturday night.
We had Margarita and Bloody Mary's both Friday and Saturday nights.
Had puzzles to work as usual, played dirty board, skip-bo and pass the love.
Connie Esparza came to visit us one day and we had a great time seeing her. Wish she could have stayed longer. Hope she will visit us in San Antonio in September.
We got a call that my sister went to the hospital on Friday so our plans to head home were changed, We went into San Antonio and stayed at the KOA. We spent 2 nights there and spent most of time at the hospital. George went with our brother-in-law to the Doctor because he has to start 30 rounds of radiation after his April surgery.
We headed home on Tuesday. My sister was released from the hospital on Tuesday evening and is recuperating at home.
Please have safe travels this summer and hope to see y'all in San Antonio in September and then on to Rockport hopefully.
