Day 29 July 11 2010

This was our last full day in Waldport and there were a few things we did not see so we back tracked a little to get them in. The Devil's punch bowl also was so similar to what you would see in Hawaii. The wind was still very strong but the view made up for it. It is just a great day as there was not any fog covering everything. Finally found the real old historic part of the town and walked around, bought a few things, George found a Navy windsock for the RV for our rallies and a couple of gifts for grandkids. Oh yes about George's foot seems he tried to be young and jump down from a bunker we had hiked to and I think he landed a little wrong. We will be traveling tomorrow and rest the rest of day so should be good to go on more hikes by Tuesday.

We started out at Devil's Punchbowl.
Driving up look what I spotted. An Ice Cream Truck (Old one).
The first view we had.
This was next.
Then Devil's Punchbowl.
Another shot of the bowl.
I love the blue pacific.
Some sandy beach we could see from here, and there were surfers down there.
How clear the water is.
Here I am with the Pacific behind me.
We left Devil's Punchbowl and went to another view area, we are up higher here.
Good place for some pictures.
A close up of the above picture.
Just one more time. It is so beautiful here.
I did say we were up high, remember?
more great pictures.
People were in the water and it was cold.
This is so peaceful, just the sound of the sea breaking onto the beach.
We were lucky today, no fog.
On the way back to the RV park we went to the Historic Bay Area in Newport OR. We had lunch here at Mo's, they are famous for their clam chowder so I had a bowl. Soooooo Goooooood.
Lots of small shops.
Pat said it was like Key West, just wider streets.
Great murals.
Here are the Whales. Ha Ha.
back at the KOA and I have my foot propped up, guess I did something wrong. It was hurting a little.
