Day 39 July 21 2010

Well we started the day off with washing, yea. We then left for Santa Rosa and the Charles Schulz (Snoopy's Museum) it was one of the best museums we have ever visited. It was done so tastefully and in such true Snoopy and Charlie Brown fashion. We spent quite a long time at it. Then went across the street to his cafe, ice rink and a very large gift gallery. The cartoons made you laugh and could not believe how many we remembered. Then on to a street and Park with the Franklin name, I had read it in a brochure. We took pics. Went next to the Gardens of Luther Burbank had so many different varieties of flowers and vegs., across the street to City Hall where they had a Veterans Memorial. Our last stop was at the railroad square (they have made a shopping center in the area). All over town there are different statues of the characters from Peanuts it was really neat to find them. Then we headed back to the KOA for the day. So much to see and not enough time to do it all.
Just a few pics of the park where we are in Petaluma CA.
A little hilly here.
But nice wooded park.

A nice pool.
Animals for the kids to see.
A bounce pad.
A donkey or two.
A security gate to come and go thru.
Notice the boy jumping into the pool and the temp is about 54 deg. (F).
Here we are.
So now we are headed for Santa Rosa CA for some sightseeing.
They like Country here also.
Look what Pat found.
This is the Charles M. Schultz Museum.
I will not bore you with info, just enjoy the tour.

It took 3500 tiles to make this .
A close up of the tiles.

They stamped our hand so we could come and go today.

Then for lunch.
This is the table where Charles ate his lunch everyday.
It even has an Ice Skating Rink.

Snoopy was sharing his cookies with me.

Then we left the museum and looks what is next.
Art work here also in Santa Rosa.
A nice old church.
A home and garden to view.

the back of the house.
A side view.

Look what we found atSanta Rosa City Hall.
Pat by a rather large tree.
A nice Memorial.

Another wall painting downtown Santa Rosa CA.
And on the corner was the Conductor.
In a city park.
An at the visitor center.
This was the old Railroad Station in town and is now the visitor center.
