December 2018 Bunco

Our anual Christmas Bunco gathering, this year it was hosted by Dale Koehler but at Pat Franklin's home.

This was our 23rd year for our club. Only Sallie and I are the original group out of 12. It started as a neighborhood club and has over the years expanded to friends also. It is truly hard to believe that we have been meeting once a month for 23 years. we don't take the summer off like some do.

It was a Mexican theme meal and boy did we have a good variety and lots of it. From appetizers to main meal to desserts. thank everyone for the food they brought and for the great time. We played one game of CLR after and Pat Taylor was the big winner of that she took home $36.00. Good going Pat.

Dale had bunco at my house due to they are still not back in after Harvey. We all hope it will not be too long down the road till they are back in and having to enjoy their space again. It has been a long road for them.  Sallie has been back in hers after Harvey for awhile. She did some upgrading and it looks great.

Would like to ask special prayers for one of our members and there baby boy. He is facing some challenging health issues in the future and prayers will certainly help. Colton was born in June and is facing many obstacles but with your prayers for the family we hope that some miracles will happen.

He will be starting many test this week and coming weeks and they will need strength to get thru them all.

We start year 24 in January and I will be hosting it here again. It is early in January and who knows the tree may be up still. LOL.

We want to take this time to wish each of you a very Blessed Christmas and never forget the true meaning of Christmas.

Santa's Visit with Caroline 2018

Caroline Mae Berry is getting ready for her First Christmas.
Her Grammy (Pam Sharp) Our daughter, got us together for some Ribs that Dillon cooked up for everyone. They were so good. Her house was decorated for Christmas and was so cute. Attending the Christmas get together were Joe and Pam sharp, Ryan and Casey Berry with Caroline, George and Pat Franklin and Dillon Loftin and his girlfriend, (Whitley), oh and of course Santa.

We did a chinese gift exchange and had a lot of fun doing it. some had their gifts stolen by others LOL.

When we were finished guess who knocked on the door ??? SANTA CLAUS came to see Caroline and she was excited to see him 😊😊😊😊, Caroline loved her visit from Santa and was so content to sit with him and went right to him when he entered the room. Hope it is one of many traditions started for her and the future. Ryan and Casey were excited to see how much she loved her visit from Santa.

On Thursday 12/6/2018 we went to El Gallo for lunch, Dillon always wants to go there as this was one of his favorite places to eat, We have been going there way before he was born. His sister (Casey) when she was very young did not like Mexican food and we would always go to McDonalds first and get her an order to go and bring here for her to eat. LOL. Times have changed now. This is also one of her favorite places.

 Dillon always goes there when he is home on leave.
