We are on our way down the Oregon Coast, we are not going to go as far today as our last move, there is too much to see and do to rush. Who knows if we would get back this way. There were times when the ocean was quite visible but a lot of the time you could not see it from the highway 101. We stopped and toured the Sea Lion Caves 200 feet below ground and quite smelly once you got down there. We stopped at one overview and had our lunch while watching the sea. We did not have any reservations but was able to get into the casino rv park. One of the nicer parks we have been to and much less per night. We will be doing lots of touring in the van the next two days.
View of Devils Backbone at Cape Perpetua on the Oregon Coast.
Info.
Just a picture that Pat took of me.
Another view.
A long walk to the ocean.
The Spouting Horn.
Info.
What a rough sea today.
Nice waves down the beach.
Two Seagulls that Pat got flying by.
The tide is out a little here.
Watch out another tunnel.
We can see a lighthouse from here.
Then look what we found.
The totem pole out front.
A good walk down to see the seals in the ocean.
All kinds of seals.
Inside the cave.
There are a lot of seals down in the cave.
They are everywhere.
WOW.
A long cold and windy walk down to get to the elevator to go down inside the cave.
WHat we could see from the top area.
Then we started on down the highway U.S.101 south.
Looks like another great beach.
This was too good not to snap this picture.
A lot of sand to make these dunes.
More sand.
Our camping spot for the next three nights.
Cool RV. All home made.
