Corsicana Rally March 27 2012

It is Tuesday and we decide to do a little driving around to see what we can find. Corsicana has a lot of history in its city. Lot of old architecture to view. The court house is one example. On the grounds is the Veterans War memorial, plus each corner of the grounds has different statues. We stumbled on the Statue of Liberty down a side street and by an old abandoned building. The history could take pages to tell but worth a trip to this town to see it all. We took Sharon with us and we went to the Pioneer Village and to Lefty Frizzell museum. The fee to go in is only 3.00 each and worth much more. We watched a few more come in and very glad to see Don and LaVerne Williams back on the road. Some went to an Italian restaurant and others choose a Mexican Food one. I think all enjoyed their meals.

Our flags are out this morning.

Nice murals on buildings in Corsicana Texas.

The Court House on the square.

Statues on the grounds of the Court House.

A memorial to all the service men and women of all wars.

Another statue for our firemen.

Very nice old church.

Some of the old buildings in downtown.

An old time feed store still in business.

WOW look what we found.

This is now a hat shop

At the Visitors Center.

Another mural.

An old Jewish Temple.

How about this?

Lefty Frizzell monument. He was from Corsicana, TX.

Then on down the street to the Pioneer Village.
