DeMontrond Rally Rockport texas Sept 2013 #2

Here are the next few days at Rockport Texas. The Fitzgerald's know how to pick their flags. We will drink to that. margarita time here we come. Well we were having our regular meeting from Saturday to Thursday night because our pres. Mark Scherbeck and Brenda had to host an Exxon Rally in Fentress so they made the first part of ours.  We had a great shrimp boil on Wednesday. Thanks to Ronnie Anderson, Troy Lunsford and all their crew. We also had margaritas. Great food and drinks. Thanks a lot. Thursday was pot luck and our meeting.  Friday we had catered meal and margaritas. We played bingo and there were some happy people. Our sheriff was very busy this time. Some he caught twice at least. You know you are in trouble when Buddy walks up and says I don't think I remember your name or what is in your name. You might as well reach in your pocket and pay the quarter.  Joe Huntley just gave him a dollar and said I know you will catch us again. So he paid in advance. Saturday there was a seminar on RV's. Very informative and refreshed a lot on things they had forgot on maintenance. We had catered meal and margaritas again. Thanks to the great host, the Dannas' and the Fitzgeralds'.

DeMontrond Rally Rockport Texas Sept 2013 #1

We arrived in Rockport for the Rally on Sunday Sept. 15th some others were already there waiting on us. It has been a long time since we were at the Lagoons. The last time we had to all leave early because the hurricane was coming in and guess what? It did not go into Rockport it went to Houston.
We all enjoyed a good time and lots of fun with talking, games and eating.  The weather was great. It would rain at night except for a couple of light showers and the days were great. We had a few cancellations so our numbers were not big but we had fun.

 Here is the new bridge they are working on going south Hwy 35 into Fulton Texas.

 Then we got to visit some with our friends.

 This tree is over 1,000 years old.

 Then back to the park for R;R.
