Here we are at the Vineyard RV Park in Fredericksburg Texas. Our first time to stay here, Very nice park. Great rally room with a fully furnished kitchen, even ice maker. Never stayed at one so fully stocked.
Due to Covid 19 we could not go into office or to the gift shop. George and I were allowed in to finalize all the arrangements and they have a nice gift shop. Hope when we go back next year we can all go in.
We had a really good turnout for this rally with 11 coaches attending and had 5 cancellations. but we also had some hard luck stories this time. Linda Wheeler took a little tumble, hurt her shoulder but she was a trooper and as host she did her best to keep going. Thank you Linda. Hope all is good now.
On their 2nd. night there, David Miller came down ill and had to go to Er at hospital, He was diagnosed with kidney stones, so we didn't get to see much of David, He was trying to get to feel good enough to make drive back home. Beverly was able to visit a bit and play some games. Debbie Dobson was there but wearing a monitor, All turned out good for her when she got back and received the news, Quite a few were not at rally due to illness.
A lot of couples kind of did different things as far sightseeing. Chuck and Carol went to see an old friend, among other things. a lot of them went to Kerrville and to Gibson's hardware store. Some of the guys went to see some classic cars. Lots went shopping downtown and quite a few made some wineries, plenty to choose from.
We played games, LaVerne had a new version of Mexican train and all enjoyed it. We played bingo one night with our caller being Harold Dowdy. Thanks a lot Harold. Bingo Winners Yea! Pat, Debbie, Debbie, and Chuck
Our host team were Jim and Linda Wheeler and we want to thank them and as first time host we hope they will sign up again.
