June 8th 2011 Kerrville Texas

Took our usual walk around the park and found a natural pool in the other side of the park with a fountain in it. We did our usual talking and mingling with all.
Sharon asked if we wanted to go to some thrift stores with her. Made us wish we were back in antique business again. That is until we tried to decide how we would find the time to do all the shopping, cleaning, pricing and taking care of your space in shop. Yep did not take us long to decide, no way anymore. We treated Sharon to BG's for lunch since she was doing all the driving around to the shops. George found some treasures he spent more than I did. We got back to park and a few more had arrived. they were going out to eat but since we had late lunch we declined the offer.

I guess this is needed for some people.
Nice new pool area.

A closer look.

Here come Ed and Margret.

Here are some of the Flags we display.

June 7th 2011 Kerrville Texas

Tuesday has arrived and we are tying to beat the heat anyway we can. As you will see later some of us decided to try our hand at water precision moves in the pool. HaHa oh well so much for that. It gave a few laughs to some. We went and had lunch at BG's one of our favorite spots to eat. We had quite a crowd. We ran into Larry & Donie Gordon and they sat with us and visited. We watched as a lot arrived and hooked up. We had to flag Pete down before he hookd up because they had him high on the hill quite a distance from the rest. He went back to the office and they relocated him. Our parking was not the greatest this time but we managed to have a good time anyway. We are just experiencing very hot and dry conditions.

Look who is posing for a picture this morning.
Nice looking deer .

This is another shot of a buck across the river.

Pat walking thru the dry grass this morning.

Looks like we got a nice shady parking spot.

Someone forgot to take their wreath when they left.

Sharon G. is moving spots.

Pete is in the park now.

The chatting session has begun.

More stories are being told.

Here I am over looking the guys and gals talking.

Then we are off to eat .

Nice sign here at Billy Gene's.

June 6th 2011 Kerrville Texas

We had to make our pilgrimage to Gibson's just isn't right if you come to Kerrville and do not go. We walked around some but did not find too much we needed this time. A few washers for our flag pole so it will swivel ok and Dan found a new straw hat and George found a new Navy cap. We went with Dan and Karen and they wanted to take us to Culver's ice cream. A favorite of the Lambes' when they would have their grandkids along, or maybe even by theirselves. It was great. We will probably have to return again while we are here. We set around the park some, in the heat. Sharon Goodlett arrived later in the evening. It was good to have her back at the rallies. Who says women can not do it all by theirselves. That away to go Sharon.

First thing Monday mornig we went down to see the deer.
They are so nice to watch.

Overall we saw about 10 this morning.

The deer had some company also.

Here, Ed is putting up his Flag pole.

Now we start to get together for the day.

Then off to get some Ice Cream.

Now I thought I would walk around and get some pictures of the park.

River Rock Saloon.

I think I got Karen a little wet. Oh well it was 101 deg. (F) anyway.

Dan got a new hat at Gibsons today.

Karen enjoying herself.

June 5th 2011 Kerrville TX

Well another rally seems it has been a long time since we had a DeMontrond Rally. We arrived on Sunday along with the Dan & Karen West, Ed & Margaret Fitzgeralds,Buddy & Nancy Danna,Phil & Giesle Roberts,Dave & Linda Ellisor, Joe & Nancy Hollis and us. It was very hot and the river was at its lowest in along time. Phil had to do mechanic work in over 100 degrees in Bastrop, lucky he is knowledgeble in this. Gisele did her part, and kept the coach a/c going so when he could come inside it would be cool. Great job to both and glad they arrived safely. Of course we went out to eat, Classic Hambeurgers was closed so we went to Fuddruckers, ok but not near as good as Classic. We had great fellowship anyway.

Someone is Flying our Flag with Pride.

We made it to Guadalupe River RV Resort.

New carpet here at the office.

Nancy and Pat having a good time already.

Then more join in.

The Roberts are here, a little late but they had a problem along the way that Phil had to repair.

The river is very low due to lack of rain.

You could get your ankles wet today.

See what I mean?

The lowest I have ever seen the river here.

However it is still very nice here, all the large trees and all.

Margaret, Nancy and Ed met up at the river.
