There were 11 RV's show for this Rally of the WWW club. We had our rally just before the DeMontrond rally in Ingram, Texas at Johnson Creek RV. We had 2 cancellations.
We celebrated anniversary at an Italian restaurant in Kerrville. It was Mark and Brenda's. Had some right after also and birthdays. June is a popular month for both. the food was very good at the Italian restaurant. it is across the street from Billie Gene's and owned by them.
We did a tour of the Y O Ranch and had lunch there. It was a great time and we thank Julian Hall for organizing this trip. Our host for the rally were Julian and Frances Hall and Polo and Sharon LaCoste.
If you get a chance to do a group tour I would advise it. It was a fun trip.
Our host had 3 days of breakfast for us, they are spoiling us big time. All were great. One night they cooked roast and potatoes and carrots for us. We had all really good meals. Lasagna was one night and there were some good desserts also and salads. Linda Wheeler brought a watermelon salad and everyone wanted the recipe, which she graciously gave us.
We visited Gibson's, always a favorite shopping place. There was sightseeing, shopping, eating, and visiting.
We played some games, puzzles, bingo, thanks to Mark for calling.
Our president had a fall in his coach and after a couple of days decided that he was not able to drive the coach home. They had many offers and Julian and Ed drove their coach home a day after they left in their car. That is what rving is all about, we are a family and are there to help each other. Thanks again to Julian and Ed for doing this. They shared driving left one morning early for Conroe and where back in Ingram to join us for dinner that night. They had towed Julian's jeep to drive back.
We hope Polo recovers quickly and is back at the next gathering we have.
We had a few other hard luck stories also.
We decided to return to Johnson Creek next year. It will be in April, more to follow.
Our next outing will be a gathering for the first night time balloon festival in Lake Charles, La. it will be in July. We have 2 spots available still, because we had 2 cancellations.
It is great when we have places suggested to see and it is strictly your decision if you would like to go or if you have other plans that is fine also. Never know what you may find.
as we celebrated Memorial Day we wanted to thank each and every veteran and those now serving for their decision to help to keep us free.
Thank you and God Bless.
