This is our second rally with the Cruisin Cajuns Club and we will become members at this rally.
We started out from Weatherford Texas with Sharon Goodlet following us. She did not want us to have to go by ourselves to our second rally. We went to Shreveport LA. for the night and then traveled on I-49 to Patterson LA. for the Rally. The I-49 Highway was completed in November of 2014. what a great highway and smooth as silk. just remember to fill up with fuel when starting out from either end. (Lafayette or Shreveport LA.) as fuel stops are far between. this link of highway is 200 miles long. the road from Lafayette to Patterson was on again, off again smooth.
There were 97 RV's at this rally. We really love this club. Everyone is so friendly and welcome you. We missed our Texas table but hope to all meet up soon at one of these rallies.
This was a smaller rally for the club. Everyone had a good time. They have many planned activities which you may take part in or you may choose not too. We had a baseball game that was men against women and I must brag. the women really beat up on the guys. Right George? It was a lot of fun.We played bingo and George actually won one game. He now knows how it feels to only need 1 number for a long time and it not be called. We did not win any of the pots that you can buy into. they were quite a bit but we were not lucky. They have a drawing on Friday night for 2 people and then one on Saturday night for two more. All the money collected goes back into the pots.
On Friday we had a heavy rain and there was some slight flooding. It did not interfere with any activities what so ever, The drainage was great and it went down rather fast. No one got stuck at this rally. we hope to get to go to one more of their rallies this year. they take the summer off and so start back in September.
George and I stopped at Kinder for the night on our way back home. We had a good time there also.
