We arrived in time to do what else but eat. we went to Goliad, Texas, to the Hanging Tree Restaurant. We had a very good turn out for this function.
There is so much history here. The mission and the Fannin Battleground.
The club house was nice and just the right size for us. We played games, visited, and we even talked the owner into getting us cable TV in there. He has not quite got everything finished yet, but was gracious enough to accommodate us so we could see the Texan game on Sunday and have an inside tailgate party.
A lot did sight seeing and touring but we passed this time.
We had great catered meals and wonderful breakfast by our host team. Which was Pete Stollis, Bess Bratner, Elizabeth Strickland, and Larry and Doni Gordon.
At our meeting we voted on two positions for new officers. Janet Lambe removed her name this time. Joe Bechard then became the treasurer. There was a run off for vice president between JoAnn Oler and Sharon Goodlet and Sharon won the vote. Congratulations to both of our new officers.
It was announced our next rally will be in Corsicana, Texas in January.
