We watched the deer this morning and had coffee and then decided to go into Victoria and have a look around. I had read about De Leon Plaza and knew it was kin to Gilbert. We found it right in the heart of town and took pics of it and other things in the area. we went on a driving tour of the historic district and we saw a lot of very beautiful old homes. It is a very neat and clean city. We just had to get use to the one way streets and then in the historic district to if you had the right of way or a stop sign. We went in the park across the street the Coleta Reservoir park. There are not sewer hookups and they are very proud of their park. Not too much less than the KOA we are in. We did enjoy driving around in it. We saw some deer there also. We did go by a very historic deli downtown but they were not open on the weekend. Opened in the 1800's and is still owned by the same family passed down thru the generations. that does not happen much anymore. We were going to Goliad but did not make it. Save it for the next trip.
The Office.
Not many RV's here tonight.
WOW What a rig.
Nice Pool, not very large but nice.
Great level parking spots.
Beautiful sunset today.
Then the deer came out to eat.
Saturday Morning.
Nice sunrise this AM.
A restaurant close by the KOA Park. They were not open this morning however.
Then we checked out this Park that is on the same Rd. as the KOA.
Sunflower patch.
Beach area for swimming here in the park.
Beautiful old trees and lots of shade.
The founder of this park was the Great, Great grandfather of Gilbert Deleon the salesman we purchased our RV's from that works for DeMontrond in Houston Texas.
Not sure of the kind of tree this is but it had some nice flowers on it.
A close up of the blooms on the tree.
The church that Gilbert and Marylou went to.
This is on the road going back to the KOA RV Park.
Places to sit and visit at the KOA Park.
