July 9, 2013 our Young At Heart Group went on a trip via the county bus to Austin, Texas to visit the LBJ Library and then to Ledbetter, Texas to visit the Stuermer Store. We had a great bunch and we did a lot of visiting and walking on this trip. It was hitting a 100 Degrees but thank goodness we were inside most of the time. A lot of us took a little nap after our tour and great lunch we had. The Store was a great treat in more ways than one. Especially the Blue Bell Ice Cream. Their prices are just like old days. We had a cup of ice cream and a large cone and it cost a whole $2.25. wow. if you ever go thru Ledbetter, Texas stop and enjoy. You can even get a hamburger for $2.25 and a cheeseburger $3.25. Now the price may go up a bit in the future. We always want to thank our 4 couples who help to organize and plan all our trips. They do a great job. Don & Jane, Wayne & Barb, Doug & Helen, and Bob & Sheila. If it was not for their hard work we could not enjoy our rips so much.
