Today Pat & I went to honor our fallen hero's at the New "Fallen Warriors Memorial" on Cutten Rd. just south of Cyrpesswood Dr.
What a great way to enjoy the 4th of July. a very beautiful park and memorial to honor our service men & women.
After this visit we went to our son & daughter-in-laws home to have the tradition hot dogs and hamburgers and visit them and two of our grandchildren.(Cody & Colleen) that were home from Texas A & M. Also Joann (Patti's mom) was able to be there for the gathering.
Before we returned home we were blessed with some rain before all the fireworks got started, it has been so hot and dry we were concerned about fireworks that could have caused some fires.
The pictures really do not do justice to the memorial. It is very inspiring. You can have a brick or a remembrance on the granite. They have forms there. this is a fairly new memorial and it was well planned.
We hope all had a safe and nice day.
You can visit the website for the Fallen Warriors memorial @ kiamonument.org it is very informative.
