Tolar Texas Jan 14 2012

We arrived on Thursday afternoon a little later than we hoped for due to some problems with our transmission conversion. We finally diagnosed the problem after letting our van idle while towing so as not to hurt the transmission or have to drive it all the way. We stayed at Mike and Jana's for the first time with the RV. We dry camped Thursday and Friday due to the busy schedule for the Stock show and then on Saturday morning Mike and George got our 30 amp up and going. We have water we can use but no sewer yet. When he finishes his bathroom in his shop we will be able to have use then. It is sure nice up on their land and they have a beautiful house. The way the House is layed out you have a few of their pond from all the rooms you use most. They have a large covered patio in the back to sit on and Mike got his John Deere to take care of the 20 s\something acres. It was kind of hard with just a riding mower. We were able to squeeze in Lauren's basketball game before the auction started on Saturday. Leah (her sister) is the coach. It was not a good game as the other team was a much stronger team and had played together for sometime and this is a new team she is on just formed. We enjoyed watching anyway. We left to come home on Sunday and just as when we went up we had head wind. From the North going and from the South coming home. Boy weren't we lucky.LOL Lauren and Mike trying their skills off their back porch.

Our son and I installed a 30 amp electrical plug so we can stay on their place when we go to visit them now.

This is their new home.

Our sons new John Deere.

Then we got to see our grand daughter play a game of basketball today.

We do not get to see her play as much as we would like to.

Looks like she made this basket for sure.

She loves this game.

This is Leah our step granddaughter and she is coaching the team. Lauren is #12 and was slightly injured and was resting in this picture.

The auction at Tolar High School for a local man that is in need for a liver transplant. this sign was sold for $3100.00 the total they raised tonight was about $75,000.00. Good turn out for this.

The reactors in Glenn Rose TX. on our way home.

Nice wall painting in Valley Mills Texas on a store front.
