We went up to Tolar to see Lauren show her goats at the Hood 'County Livestock Show. The weather was a little on the cool side but not as bad as last year. At least we had sunshine during the day to help with the temp. She did really well in the light weight class placing 4th overall. In the heavy weight class she did not place. The auction was held on Saturday and she was able to get 900.00 in bids plus since it was a premium sale she keeps the goat and resold it to a lady form West Texas who is showing it in June. She made another 250.00 there and then all her grandparents were chiping in some for her. Before the show she was going to just do rabbits next year now she wants another goat also. It helps to place and get in the money.
