Day 14 June 26 2010

We are going to leave Caldwell ID this morning after breakfast and go to Pendleton OR. There is a casino there with a RV park and we will be camping there tonight.

The tirp was about 195 miles, however some were a chalenge with the inclines and downgrades, but we did just fine and arrived with no problems. Just had to take it easy.

The highway (I-84) follows the Oregon Trail for the most part.

We got to add the state of Oregon to our map on the RV today, that only leaves Washington State which we hope to add in the next few days. This will cover most of all the Western states we have visited.

Pat got luck last night in the casino and so yesterday was pretty much a free day. YEAH!!!!
I did not do well however.

We will be heading for Portland Oregon in the morning and plan on being there for 3 nights.

The Sun Rise this morning in Caldwell ID. What a way to sart the day.
Then the RV park had a free breakfast for us.
Nice facility.
A fiew from inside the breakfast area.
Well we made it to Oregon.
I got to add the State of Oregon to our outside map.
The roadside park and welcome center at the Oregon border.
Check out the size of the roses.
The Oregon Trail.
Beautiful Roses here at the Visitors Center going into Oregon.
Had to stop and smell the roses.

All kinds of flowers here.
They told us at the visitors center that it did not snow very much here. We don't know who to believe.
Nice highway. I-84 in Oregon.
Snake River.
More of Snake River.

Red Neck Cafe in Oregon. There are everywhere. (Rednecks I mean).
Another old building along the highway.
Snow on our left side.
Snow on our right side. It is beautiful.
The entrance to the RV Park where we are staying tonight. Pendleton, Oregon.
Just a farm along the highway in Oregon.
Interesting sign I thought. And it turned out to be true.
Then it all started to go down hill from here. All six miles at 6 deg. decline. What a trip.
We made it here all OK. . Then we went and visited the Cultural Institute here.
This is where we will stay tonight.
