Arrived in Evant Texas about 4:30 on Friday.11/13/20
What a great Wildlife venture and nice RV Park. They will be adding more tables and chairs in rally room for us.
There is a pizza place and one cafe in Evant and then you have to drive at least 15 miles in any direction to get to other places. One gas station that sells a little of everything a couple miles away. So bring most of your supplies and just lets enjoy time together and relaxing and seeing all the animals. Weather permitting we can have cook out or just sit and visit outside under cover by the rally room.
There are a lot of really neat thongs to see in the hill country small towns around or you could make a day of it and drive to Waco to the silos, it is 64.2 miles and a hour and 5 minute drive to get there, lots of great opportunities if you don't mind driving a little. Just remember you are in the hill country and you need to be aware of the deer and other animals in the area. Be cautious when driving. We always have deer whistles on our vehicles and as long as you are going at least 30 miles an hour they are activated and we have never had a problem.
11/14/20 Nice morning here today. Prior to going to Ft. Hood today, we took a trip thru the Wildlife Park here at Buena Vista Wildlife Safari and RV Park. What a gathering of animals here. if you are staying at park you pay one time and get to go thru as often as you wish and they furnish you with the food to feed the animals.
11/15/20 Weather was a factor last evening, about 2:00 AM
the winds blew thru, and the temp dropped to about 47deg. by morning. Took
another trip thru the wildlife park this AM before we left for home. Arrived
home in Cypress about 4:30 PM. What a great venture this week from Cypress TX
to Bullard, TX., then to Evant Texas, Ft. Hood and then back to Cypress.
This was an interesting campsite.
