We went to party for the soon to be arrival of Everett, our great grandson, on Nov. 11th, how fitting, and the leaving for a tour of duty, his daddy, Dillon, who will be going to Romania in October.
It was held at our daughter's house in Magnolia.
A good time was had by all. Got to catch up with some old friends and meet new ones. I can't believe we did not get a family picture. well we all know we were there. LOL
So glad we got to spend the time with everyone and see the happy couple. It is bitter sweet that Dillon will miss being here for the birth, but with the monitor they received, if he is within area he will be able to see it in Romania. Modern technology.
We had lots of fun and played lots of games. Pam, with Casey's help did a great job of putting everything together. Oh I must add with Caroline's help too. Lots of food and fellowship. Great decorations. It was a great day by all.
They brought Daisy along so she could take part in all the activities. She will be a lot of company to Whitley.
I wanted to say just a bit about the Christmas tree, Pam has never left her tree up year round, but I was out there with her and we got to talking about taking it down and all the trouble and I suggested that she leave it up year round and decorate for the season. So far she has had valentine, St. Patrick's day, Easter, Memorial day and she will be ready for 4th of July. She has gone to Pinterest and found some ideas also for decorating. I think it is pretty neat and needless to say Miss Caroline is always looking for a gift.
I want to say that we are very proud of Dillon and all his accomplishments, he is serving our country with pride and patriotism. He now has a wonderful wife and a baby boy on the way. He has come a long way from the little boy years ago. Just want him to know how much we love him and pray for him and his family in the following months.
