2019 WWW Rally in Rockport, Texas

We are in Rockport Texas again for the WWW Rally and the Humming Bird Festival.
We had 7 RV's attend this Rally. Great Weather, Food and Friends.
We, the Franklin's, were the Hard Luck Story for this trip. We started out and Pat noticed a code on our fridge "n" and it was not working. Lucky for us, we always carry an Ice Chest in the Van. We stopped and Iced down most of the food and continued on down to Rockport. Once we got there we called a Serviceman out to see what was wrong, first he found that a circuit board was bad and replaced it. Then later that evening it went out again, this time he came back and said we needed a New fridge. Long story but we now have a NEW one. Yea!
Our Host were the Fitzgerald's and the Adamec's GREAT JOB.
Lots of smiling faces at this rally.
The Fitzgeralds and Adamacs went to watch the banding of the Hummers. they really enjoyed it. Everyone took in the craft show at the high school but there were not as many vendors as many of them are now down by the bait houses in Rockport in the open fields. There were a lot more people there.
We ate at Boiling Pot, Paradise Keys, Tequila Jalisco, A China Buffet, of course Blizzards were in order at Dairy Queen and we also went to Whataburger. who needs a fridge anyway?
Mary, Maria and I took in a play in Aransas Pass. Fun girls time. WE heard the guys went to Ace Hardware.
The park, Wilderness Oaks, was super nice to us. Great rally rooms. One very large one, that will seat a big group, where they also have line dancing twice a week plus other activities. Nice room adjoining kitchen which would seat at least 30 or more, then a game room with pool table and poker table. In the kitchen there are 2 stoves, 2 refrigerators and a freezer you can use. They have an ample supply of games, and puzzles to use. No set time to have to leave room, just all lights off and lock doors. We want to thank all the staff for being so nice to us. Oh, also if you have passport America they will honor it too. Definitely a keeper to come back to. They have pics of the damage they sustained and then the rebuild. Great job to all.
Rockport is rebuilding and looking good again. Rockport Strong.
We didn't get to sight see as much during week having to wait on repair man and good Sam. we stayed over an extra day just to make sure fridge was good to go and we did a little then.
Some had to leave early, but we had a great time over all.
We ask for special prayers for Gunter and Maria Liebel's daughter-in-law, who has cancer of the throat, for Troy's family as they have quite a few with serious  health issues, for Polo LaCoste speedy recovery,
Sorry Pat Lunsford lost her clothes line in her coach. When you see her she will explain. LOL.

Just a short note, not rally related. Since we came home we lost another deputy in the line of duty. It was about 7 miles from our house and only a couple miles from where Deputy Goforth lost his life a few years ago. It is actually a very nice part of town. You never know when you leave home if you will ever see your loved ones again, take time to let them know you love them. Life is short and we need to make the most of each minute.
Our prayers are with the family and all those who serve us in whatever capacity. May God Bless each and everyone and watch over them.
Safe Travels until we meet again.
