We arrived on Wednesday about 2:30 PM. The Liebel's followed us as they are first timers and will be joining this club.
This was the "Mardi Gras Rally" for the Cruisin' Cajuns. Let the good times roll.
We found the Best Beignets in Louisiana while here. "The Coffee Depot" in Scott, Louisiana. Gunter said better than in New Orleans.
Gunter and Maria took us to the Lafayette Acadian Center. It was very interesting and the film they showed was outstanding. It told of the early life of the settlers and the hardships that they endured. I highly recommend it to anyone who likes history.
then we went to St. Martinville and toured the historic district. we really appreciate them taking us on this tour. We had never been to either place before.
Needless to say we had a lot of fun at the rally. The food was great, the drinks were good and all the fun activities we had were enough to keep us moving. Looking forward to next year.
Safe travels to all.
