Another Great Rally in Sulphur Louisiana.
We had 11 RV's show up for this rally plus 2 additional persons (Pete & Bess) that did not have their RV so they stayed in one of the Motel Rooms for a night so they could join us.
On Monday all of us that were here drove down to see if we could locate any alligators. We did find one that I got a picture of. some said they also saw a couple of smaller ones, but I did not get their picture. We had lunch at a favorite place on the way back. Great seafood.
We were suppose to do this tip on Tuesday but due to weather coming in we decided to do it on Monday.
On Tuesday we went over to Coushatta for the senior breakfast buffet. Some entered the slot tournament before leaving to come back to Sulphur.
On Wednesday We took a Tour thru the "Brimstone Museum and was guided by The Executive Director Mr. Thom Tranhan. Lots to learn about Sulphur, Louisiana. Then we had lunch at Richard's in Sulphur.
On Thursday we had a trip arranged by the host team to The Bayou Rum Factory and was guided by two wonderful guides, Josh and Kelly they were very good at giving us all the information about making great Rum and the history of this company along with their future plans. We also received free samples of all 4 of their great rums. Very neat tour. We had lunch at Steamboat Bill's in Lake Charles on the way back.
We had lunch at the Boiling Point on Friday and then everyone on their own. Some went to casinos and back to the RV park or just shopping.
Our host for the rally were Edwina Peyton and Maria Liebel with Gunter overseeing it. They did a great job of having things to do, all optional, but no one stayed behind. Our host have really set the bar high after the last two rallies. Can hardly wait to see what the future holds.
Of course we had talk time and game time. We had light snacks and appetizers for our evening meals.
They had scramble eggs with Boudan, or sausage. toast jellies, cereal and fruit for our breakfast.
It was a super rally and all had a great time.
Our next rally is in Castroville, Texas at Alsatian RV Resort with this group.
