Feb Rally 2013 WWW #1

We arrived at the rally on Tuesday this time so we missed some of the fun.  We had a good turnout and we had a wonderful time. So many people said what a great time they had.  It was relaxed and laid back.  There was a lot to do from shopping to sightseeing, and then eating out a little.  Playing games and venturing to even doing a puzzle which I must say a lot tried their hands at.  A few contributed by puttng one piece in and some worked many hours. It was great to see the final piece put in.  The park and room were really nice.  The only downfall was that you did hear trains some and the construction company next door had a constant beep which you could sort of tune out after awhile.  Very good location for all.
Missed those that could not come and hope to see some of them in San Antonio.  The Esparzas have a lot they are trying to schedule for us.
Take care and have a very nice Easter.

Some NASCAR 18 wheelers at the rest stop on I 10 west of Columbus Texas
They were on their way from Daytona FL to Phoenix AR.

We pulled in here to meet up with Sharon G. on the way to San Marcos Texas.

Along the way we took these pictures.
Not really what you think. Just a prop for a flying school.
Then we see the sign for Canyon Trail RV Resort where we will be for our Rally.

Once we get checcked in we meet others that are already here.

Just in case we need to work out they have some equipment here.

 Nancy walking her dog today.
Then we were told to meet in the meeting room for Caroline Masons birthday.
We had some cake for us to enjoy.
then we all sang "Happy Birthday" to her.
Inside the Centerpoint Station. Thanks to Allen P. for these two pictures. Seems like I forgot my camera this evening.
 Good food here.
Then back to the meeting room for some games.

I think this was a first..Maria, Edwina and Pat working on a puzzle. I can not remember seeing anyone at our rallies ever working a puzzle.Good to see something new being done.
connie, Joe B. and Janet B. walking their dogs this morning.
Joe B. has made these trains for a few years and sold them and they make children very happy. Nice work Joe. And there is no screws or nails used in these.
I got to visit with Manuel some this evening, glad to see he is doing well and able to make the Rally.
I guess Joe needed to work out.
 Janet is woring out also.

I was even caught working the puzzle.
The duck that Buddy made came along on this rally with us.
Everyone getting ready for fried Chicken this evening.
 More work on the puzzle.

Think we have enough chicken for us???
 And the fixings.
Everyone had their plates full of Chicken.
Thanks to Connie for taking the next two pictures.
Seems people say I never get in the pictures.
WOW Janet B. said that Joe never works a puzzle, but here is prove that he does.
Marvin reading a book to Lillian (Bess granddaughter) on her first RV trip. What a very nice 3 year old.
Maria and Joe finishes the puzzle. Good going.
Here it is finished. great job by all that worked on it.
Off to visit Grune Texas today.

 Some shopping.

Then we had lunch at The Gristmill for my birthday.

Off to find the boys and girls rooms.
 More shopping.
Now for HoBo Stew tonight.
Our Host team for this rally.
We had our meeting tonight so Marvin and Edwina could leave early in the morning for their Great grand Childs birthday party.
After the meeting Eveyone surprised me with a cake and some cards. Thank everyone as this was a surprise for me.
Another new game being played at this rally. Pegs & Jokers. great fun.
Look close and you will see the ring that Mary has on from my cake. The ring is a "Miss Kitty" ring.
