We have arrived in Galveston, Texas for the wedding of our Grandaughter, Casey and Monty Waits. We are staying at the Galvez Hotel and the wedding will be at the 8 1/2 mile marker on the beach. The rehersal went well and there was a lot of fun to be had. We had our rehersal dinner at the Yagu Cafe on the Strand we had the whole patio to ourselves. They came out and brought us free shots and t shirts. The food was good and so were the drinks. The day of the wedding everyone was going different directions trying to get things going and make sure all went ok. We had a lot of fun during the day and as time got closer we had to hurry to make sure our place on the beach was secure. The wind did not co-operate with us at all and we had up to 40 miles an hour wind. the ceremony was very beautiful in spite of the wind. The sand ceremony was a little tricky. The butterfly release took a litle while because they did not want to be released in the wind, they finally did and it was really neat. Mr. and Mrs. Waits were glad all went well and they were looking forward to their cruise leaving on Sunday out of Galveston for a week.
