Rustic Creek Ranch Rv Rally March 2011

Our DeMontrond Rally in Burleson Texas. Rustic Creek Ranch. We arrived on Monday and there was a little mix up on who was arriving when and Dave rolled in and helped to get the rate straight for us. The weather was nice for most of the rally. I think we had a few more on Monday and then each day we had a few more come in. We made a trip to Lancaster on Wednesday to locate a family plot of George's grandparents, we were lucky, we were able to find them with some help. After returning home we found out his great grandparents are also there and I was able to trace back to his 13th. Great grandparents. They came from Wales, boy it was amazing and yes I am hooked on Geneology. We finally had a count of 28 coaches I believe or close. Gilbert and MaryLou arrived on Thursday this time and it was great to have them come early. We went to Ponder onWednesday evening and had steaks. Thursday we had catered meal. We had a great time visiting with friends and eating of course. We thank Gilbert for happy hour on Saturday evening and we missed Buddy and Nancy, who had to leave early, but happy to report all is going good with him now. George called bingo on both Friday and Saturday night. We need more to play so we can have bigger blackout totals. Is is fun, try it and I bet you will like it. We will be looking forward to Kerrville next and I know many will be heading on West for trips, we wish them all safe travels. I know the fuel must be playing a role in some not being able to make the farther trips but we hope we have a great turn out at Rayford in the fall. Happy Trails to all.
