WWW Rally La Grange TX Feb 2017

Well we left Cypress for our WWW Rally in Lagrange, Texas on Thursday Feb 16th 2017.
The RV Park for the Rally was Colorado Landing RV Park, La Grange, Texas. Nice park.
LaVerne Williams hosted this rally and what a great program she put together. Everyone had a great time and we heard several members say that this was the BEST Rally ever. Thank You LaVerne.
We had a total of 15 RV's attend this rally, that included 3 guest coaches. The guest were as follows: Elizabeth's son and daughter-in-law, Greg & Haunani Shipper, Terry & Shirley Smothermon, guest of Damon and Betty Briggs, and Frank & Barb Adamec, on our waiting list and guest of Ed and Margaret Fitzgerald, Harold Dowdy, guest of LaVerne Williams.
On Thursday evening we all went to Las Fuentes for our evening meal. Good Food and Large plates. LOL
Friday Morning LaVerne our Host served Breakfast , then we had our Club Meeting. After the meeting all were free to do their thing. Some went to Farmers Market, bought beautiful plants from Lady on the square. Some went to Round Top to see the Junk Gypsy Shop,  Some had lunch at Prause Meat Market on the square. This evening we went to Sealand Restaurant for good seafood.
Saturday we went to Timeless TX Classics to see some old cars and trucks that have been restored and are for sale. You can visit their website.  www.timelesstxclassics.com
Took in  Monument Hill and the Kreische Brewery.
Greg played the fiddle and Elizabeth played the guitar, for our entertainment on Saturday evening. Great Job. Julian Hall  even sang a few songs along with them, Great job to all. This was a great bonus to our rally. They have promised to come back to another rally and do the same. We had pot luck for our meal.
Sunday we all went to Fayetteville for Breakfast at Orzacks, except for Pat Franklin, she was under the weather. We had guest for breakfast also, they were Gary and Nancy Dorsett friends of LaVerne Williams. Great breakfast. Then we all went different ways to check out the area. So much to see. Some took in the Quilt Museum that afternoon in La Grange..
That evening we had a surprise from our host and all had fun with participating.
Monday  after a good storm last night ( it started raining about 1:30 AM  and lasted all the rest of the night. all total we had about 3 inches of rain per the park manager. We had a wine and cheese tasting that afternoon and some of us really tasted a lot of wines. No names mentioned. We were suppose to have  full blown soup and salad at 6 but because of all the sampling we narrowed it down to just a few to bring their soup and salad. It was a blast. Didn't know till that evening but Phil Roberts was under the weather and had tried to get help at a clinic. He finally got some help and a prescription. He joined us for awhile but did not participate. Glad he was on the mend.
Tuesday 2/21/2017 Went to Murphy's Steakhouse in Winchester, Texas for our afternoon meal. Great food and service here. Check out their web site at www.eatatmurphys.com.
Oh yes we made it to Dairy Queen for blizzards. Not all at same time but I think just about everyone made it there during the week.
We also celebrated Gerald and Sandy Dudleys' 52nd. Anniversary. We will not see them till fall. Happy and safe trails to them.
Julian and Frances left to make their way to the FMCA Rally.
LaVerne Williams and Harold Dowdy are heading to Israel with family.
Edwina Peyton is going on an Alaska cruise with family and friends.
And the list goes on.
Wednesday, time to end a GREAT Rally. Most all of the members and guest said it was the Best Rally Ever. We played a lot of different games and changed up who played what. All enjoyed it a lot.
We tried to get permanent hostess out of LaVerne but she declined.  Ed Fitzgerald must have had a great time as for the first time we can remember it was 9:15 AM and Wednesday Morning and they had not left the park yet. LOL
If you are coming to Jamaica Beach be ready for surprises and a great itinerary by Edwina Peyton, she took some tips from LaVerne and along with the ideas she already had she  is ready for us to have great fellowship again.
Thanks again to LaVerne
