We traveled to Marble Falls, Texas to see the Tolar Rattlers play in the first scheduled play off football game for 2016, remember our Son, Mike, is the Head Coach and AD for Tolar. Our granddaughter, Lauren, is a cheerleader also.
And it was also Veterans Day.
We traveled on Hwy 290 to Austin Texas, then to Hwy 183 to FM 1431 to Marble Falls,Texas. Long and scenic drive.
This game was against Sonora Broncos from Sonora Texas.
Our older son, Don, his wife, Patti, and Son, Cody, met up with us in Marble Falls to see the game also. Cody takes some great pictures of the games he is able to attend, he is allowed to be on the sideline to get his pictures. The game started out really well for Tolar but it did not last. They tried but it was not enough, they were using their 3rd. string quarter back and he is also one of their best receivers. Good season overall.
We decided to drive to San Antonio, which was much closer than home. We were just going to spend the rest of the one night but we stayed until Sunday afternoon and had a good time. Got caught in the week end warrior traffic coming home.
We also were able to get great pics of the moon on our way back.
No more Friday night lights for us this year.
A little early but wanted to wish all a Happy Thanksgiving. Be safe with your travels. See you soon.

My favorite dish when we go to San Antonio and visit Pat's sister. We go to a local Mexican Restaurant there close to their house.
