All this started out by a suggestion of Ed & Edna Reid.
"Edna and I decided in June that we would like to have an “Old Fashion 4th of July party”, so we volunteered. Word got out and we were inundated with neighbors that wanted to help. Well we had a wonderful party attended by about 65 people. The neighbors that stepped up did about 99.9% of the work. What a wonderful bunch of neighbors we have, they make me proud to say I live in Timber Lake Estates."Ed & Edna Reid
4th of July Celebration
Our first year for the 4th of
July Celebration at the lake was very successful. Thanks to Ed & Edna Reid for initiating
this celebration. We had 65 in
attendance. I especially want to thank Allen Ognoskie for cooking some great
hot dogs; Millie Ognoskie for organizing the food; and Cyndy Lester for
supplying the kids with some great games and prizes; and Pat & George
Franklin for getting the flyers sent out.
They all seemed to have a great time.
We also had a watermelon eating contest, which turned out to be the highlight
of the day. Thanks also to Cyndy Lester,
Benny Walters, Doug Keith, Bill Deets and Pam Hunter for the donations to make
this event possible and to Ron & Maria Koen in helping to get things set
up. Also thanks to Keith & Josh West
for setting up the canopy and to all the men that helped take it down. Thanks
to Millie & Allen Ognoskie and Cyndy Lester for placing the flags in the
yards of each home. And last, but not least, for Cub Scouts, Kodie
Ognoskie and Sabastian Johnson of Pack 15 of Big Cypress District for leading us in the Pledge of Allegiance.
I believe a good time was had by all who
attended and I hope this is the first of many other socials to come for
Timberlake Estates. It is a great way
for neighbors to get acquainted and have a good time.
Sallie Chambers
Chairman of Committee
I would like to thank Sallie Chambers for all the hard work she did on getting everyone to come together and make sure all the food, prizes, and decorations were there. she spent many hours on this and I would like to personally thank her. I would like to thank all those who volunteered there time. It was a great success.
Thank you,
Pat Franklin

Some of our residents that had health issues came out to join in and that even made this very special for all of that we had prayed for their recovery.
Several of our newer residents also came out to enjoy our fellowship and fun and hot Dogs.
Nice decor for the July 4th Party at the Lake.
Hot Dogs and Watermelon.
Volleyball was played.
