YAH April 2014 Trip

The first stop was at McDonalds for coffee then on to the Mercer Arboretum and Gardens .
Lunch was at the Wunsche Brothers Cafe in Old Town Spring with time for sightseeing and shopping for several hours.

Well it was good to be back on the bus and with all our friends. This was our first rip in awhile. It started off very cool but the day turned our really nice. Great weather for walking and sightseeing. there were a few new faces to us since our last trip.
If you have never taken the time to go to the Arboretum you need to do so. It is a beautiful gardens and it is free. Imagine that. A lot of the work is done by volunteers so they are able to offer this beautiful place without charging.
Nancy Mayer and Mary along with George and I did the scavenger hunt. George and I did all the first phase and due to running short on time, Nancy and Mary did phase II the last two numbers. We had a good time and it was a fun way to see the gardens.
We went to Old Town Spring next for lunch and had a great time eating at the Wunsche Brothers Cafe. Then we all divided up and went to different shops. Not naming a few that found the wine tasting very good. They just bought a whole bottle to drink. They said they really enjoyed it. I gave them my phone number for next time they decide to do that.
We returned to church a little after 4. Thanks to our host couples again for the fantastic job they do planning, coordinating and having the trips.
