We arrived here Saturday evening about 6:15 PM to start off this rally. We had really nice weather for the first few days. We did a lot of sitting outside and in the evening we had a campfire. Thanks to Jesse Soto, our pirotech specialist. By coming on Saturday instead of Sunday we were a day ahead all week. Joe and Janet Bechard also came on Saturday. Joe was made sheriff for the rally and he had a lot of fun doing it and he also brought in $6.25 in fines with one person not paying. We have to wear our badges from Wednesday thru Saturday. If caught without it is a 25 cent fine. we had really cold weather set in and by Wednesday night we were having some cold blast and when we got up on Thursday morning we had ice. Thankfully no one fell but we had some slipping and sliding going on. We were small in number but we had a great time. Those that were there went to Pizza Shack on Tuesday night and then as more came we went to Fajita Jacks on Wed. night. We were suppose to have chili cook off but it seems KOA would not let us have a room to use and it was very cold to try to do outside. We visited and played games weather permitting. We finally had a room we could use on Thursday evening. Then the host and officers had to carry all the supplies to another room on Friday morning for the duration of the rally. Gilbert came on Saturday afternoon and furnished us with margaritas. Thank you Gilbert. We did miss Marylou, she was visiting in California with their daughter and family. Friday evening Mark and Lynn furnished us with margaritas. We played bingo both Friday and Saturday evenings. Had a really good turnout for the bingo I guess because of the cold weather. We went to breakfast at the Montgomery Steakhouse on Sunday morning before leaving to come home. Hope to see all you DeMontrond Travelers in Tyler at Whispering Pines. The first week end of April.

Today 1/22/14 Pat and I went out and brought Janet Bechard back a Chick fil a sandwich, she has never had one before. She liked it.
