YAH Trip to Houston Zoo

We had our December young at heart trip on Tuesday the 3rd. of December and we went to have dinner at Shanghai River Restaurant on Westheimer, which was a favorite place for Marvin Zindler to eat.  We left the church at 4 and arrived around 5. The menu was extensive so it took a while to decide from all the dishes. the food was very flavorful and enjoyed by all. Some of us thought they may have gone on a shopping trip with our cards that we gave then to pay for the meal.  Everyone was getting on the bus and a handful of us were still waiting. All worked out and I am waiting for this big windfall of money that my fortune cookie promised I would be receiving. Will keep you posted.
We then went to the Houston Zoo to see the Christmas lights. This is only the second year for lights at the zoo. It was a nice display and the weather was absolutely wonderful. Lot of the guys hung around the train display a long time. They were watching the trains with all the glitter and gems. Boys will be boys. We spent about 2 hours at the light display. would highly recommend going on a nice evening and walking the display. Too warm for hot chocolate this evening.
We will be having our Christmas luncheon in a couple of weeks and have a large number coming this year. it will be catered and games afterward.
