Trip to Tolar Tx October 2013

We departed our rally in Boerne Texas today 10/27/2013 and headed north  to Tolar Texas to visit with our Son and his family for a few days. It will be his birthday and our granddaughter will be playing volleyball and cheerleading and then Friday night the Tolar Rattlers will play Rice HS at Rice Texas and our son is the head coach of Tolar High School Rattlers. Sunday night we went and ate at Braum's in Granbury. Monday Lauren had her volleyball games. She really plays good. they won the best 2 out of three games.  she is a setter for the team. After the game we went to eat at Grumps Hamburgers with Jana's parents also. J.R, and Laverne treated us and we appreciated it. It was Mike's birthday, will not tell the age.
On Tuesday we cleaned all the compartments on our coach and some other little chores. Jana fixed us pot roast for dinner. They said that was the only night they get to cook. It was really great. she did two roast one in a Dutch oven in the oven and one in the crockpot, that way Mike has lunches also.
Wednesday Jana took Lauren to Fort Worth for elite basketball practice and George and I stayed home. When Mike got home from practice, he had some plumbing work at the rent house of theirs and then they tried to work on van but were not successful with that. No floor jack. Thursday started out with Jr. High pep rally and then the game was cancelled due to the heavy rains in Rice, Texas. We went to plan B and went to the J.V. game at Tolar. They won big time again. On Friday there was the high school pep rally and then the game in Rice that night. they chartered a bus and it was the best way to go.  It was little over 2 hours one way. We set back and left the driving to someone else. Then Saturday morning we made ready and had to head home.  It was a good week. They are just one very busy family.
We called our grandson, Cody, on way back and to our good fortune the Aggies were not playing until 8 that night. He met us at Cracker Barrel and we had a good visit with him. we made it home about 8:30 Saturday night, which is usually later than we want to be on the road.
Now we will be on the road again this week for Louisiana.

The next few pictures are taken along the way to Tolar.
