Trip to Tolar TX 10/27/2011

We went up to Tolar for our son, Mike's 50th. birthday and football game. Lauren, our Granddaughter was also showing her goats in a Jackpot and we wanted to be there for it. They have their new house finished and his shop(man cave) is great. Lots of room to do all kinds of hobbies and other stuff. The game was not good for them they lost to #1 in district and #2 in state. It turned off windy and cold. It was very nippy on Saturday morning when Lauren went to show her goats. She did really well placing 2nd. out of 7 in light weight and 3rd out of 5 in heavy weight. She won some money and was happy about that. She has a really good chance of doing very well in show with either of them but more so with the light weight. It will be in January. Nice weather in that part of the country. We had a good visit and went out on Saturday night with Mike, Jana and our granddaughters Lauren and Leah to celebrate his birthday.
It was really neat to see the football players honor him by wearing the hat he wears in games and also sporting a moustache like he has. He was surprised. We had a great week end and then on Sunday morning we met up with Sharon Goodlet and left for Branson, Missouri.
