Trip home from Madisonville Tx 11/8/2011

It was a nice drive on Hwy. 21 over to A & M. We may make this our route from now on and get off of 45. We saw a lot of sights we had not seen before. When we got to AggieLand we were able to see Cody and treat him to breakfast, but Colleen had a commitment come up and did not get to come over to us and have lunch. We will do it again when her schedule will be more flexible. We had a nice visit with Cody and he had to leave for class. He is really enjoying his first year and looking forward to the big game on Thanksgiving. So I guess we will have to Thanksgiving Dinners. Go AGGIES saw off those horns.

Some pictures Pat took along Highway Texas 21 on the way to Bryan TX.

Real nice Buggy For Sale here.

This is one tall crane doing a work over on a gas well.

Hope there is enough clearance here for us.

Here is one of our Grandson's (Cody) he is in his first year at A & M.

We got to have breakfast with him before his classes started today. I think if Papa took off his cap that cody is quite a bit taller now.

This was on our bench when we got home. Monty and Casey have been doing some craft work looks like.

WHOPPPPPPP!

Branson Mo going home. 11/6 and 7/2011

We left ABC and headed to Texas with a stop in Durant, Okla. since a lot of our friends left money at the casino on their way up we thought we would see if we could bring some back with us. The RV Park is rally great. What about a rally up this way. Anyone interested? We had planned to spend two nights but due to some really bad weather on the way Sharon and I convinced George we needed to leave. I won quite a bit but as usual George lost some. Someday we are going to both be lucky at the same time. We headed to Corsicana and we were going to spend the night at the RV Park we are going to with DeMontrond in March. Guess what the weather was predicted to come there also. We made the decision to go to Madisonville and dry camp for the night. George and I decided to see if our 2 grandchildren at A&M were free from class to see us the next day. They were so we headed to A & M while Sharon headed for home and made it quite well. We all had a wonderful time and hope to repeat it soon.

The colors were still very brilliant even if they were on the downside of their show of color.

Branson Mo 11/5/2011

Well our last full day in Branson. All week George Welsh has talked about the Tony Orlando show and we ignored him, but after the not so good show we saw the night before we wanted to try and leave Branson on a high note. I asked George W. if he really wanted to see The Tony Orlando show and he said yes. So we went on a drive compliments of George Welsh driving and showing us some of the other side of Branson. We drove out to the Table Rock Dam and Park and Saw where the Branson Belle docks for its Dinner show. We saw some pretty scenery and then we drove back to the Lawrence Welk Theater to purchase our tickets and we were in for an unexpected treat. The Vietnam moving wall tribute was there on the grounds of his complex. We even got to hear some of the roll cal of our fallen heroes as there were veterans standing there reading every name on the wall. It was quite moving and touched us all. We took pictures of the wall and also all the Christmas decorations they had inside. We ate lunch at a neat restaurant out by the theater and it was a very good meal and they throw your rolls to you. After lunch we went back to the rv park for awhile and rested, visited and then got ready to go to the show that evening. We have to say this show rated as one of the top shows we went to. Not only did it really get you in the Christmas spirit with all the music and getting the audience involved it also had the largest and best tribute to all vets. He had all veterans from each campaign stand one at a time starting with world war II, all the way thru to any relatives of people who had served or are now serving and gave each of them a great round of applause. We can not thank George Welsh enough for keeping on mentioning Tony Orlando Show, we absolutely loved it and rank it very high on our list of shows, thanks, George. Some of our friends left earlier in the day I believe there were 5 or 6 coaches that left Saturday morning.

Some are leaving today to start their trip back home.
