Our last morning at Johnson Creek RV Resort. We can not say enough about the camp host, especially Sonny and Melinda Stokes. They are there from March thru September then they go back to their home in the valley. They do a great job and are always ready to help and visit with you.
Sorry I did not take pictures this morning. Guess I was to busy talking with people, saying our good-byes.
Pat and I got to meet the owners (Tom & Lisa) before we had to leave today. They had just returned last night about 11:30 from a trip to Florida. We expressed our enjoyment of their park here and thanked them for all of the nice things they have here and the people they have to keep this park going. We told them how we loved their park and I wished it was closer to Houston. It is so peaceful and country atmosphere with all the deer and 'Axis and birds. They are really nice people and were glad to hear how satisfied we were, their home is in Huntsville, Tx. but they also have a smaller house on property for when they come to check things out.
After we left the park we stopped at Cracker Barrel for brunch in Kerrville and then started our trip back to Cypress.

Our sixth day at Johnson Creek RV Resort. The West and us went to the church service and it was so great. Don delivered a great message and Tony the song leader did a great job also. Should have had the West do a song by theirselves, boy what great voices they have. They sing in their church choir at home. We joined up with the Roberts after church and the West and us played a little more skip-bo then we went to Billy Genes for lunch. We went back to camp we all did our own thing for awhile that meant that George helped Karen with her blog, she is now a full fledge blogger. Dan was on his computer, Phil took a siesta, Gisele read and watched tv, George blogged and I read and watched tv. We all went for final swim and decided we wished we could do this everyday while it is so hot. While swimming a decision was made to make one last trip to Culver's we had worked off enough calories swimming(floating) ha ha to have one last trip in. Came back to camp and the West and us continued our skip-bo and I hate to rub it in ha ha but Karen and I kind of beat up on the guys. They say revenge is coming at Rayford. We will see. They have a lot of games to win to catch us. Enough said. We had a great trip and will be hosting a WWW there in late spring or early summer. They are pretty packed with snowbirds from October to April. George and I stopped at Cracker Barrel for a late breakfast on our way out. Then of course we had to make our stop at Buc cees if you have not been to one of the large ones you have really missed a great treat. Oh we got our dip N dots for our daily ice cream since we knew there was no Culver's. See all at Rayford.
This is our last full day here and we had a great ime relaxing and enjoying ourselves.
The Humming Birds are out this morning.

Our Fifth Day At Johnson Creek RV Resort. We headed to the Kerrville trade and market days. Everything is handmade no pre bought items. We even got a free ice cream scoop for being early bird shoppers. We did not come out with a lot of items in fact Karen bought 2 plants and a gift for someone and that was it. We headed back to camp with a stop at Wal Mart of course. Phil and Gisele had taken a drive to Fredricksburg so when they got back we headed to the pool. The only way to stay cool outside. We then played some skip-bo will not mention who won. Then it was hot dog time on the grill. Just can not tell you enough or maybe too much how nice this park is. Quiet, peaceful and sooo shady. Wish it was closer to Houston.

Our Fourth Day at Johnson Creek RV Resort. As usual hot is the word for the day. After spending some time in camp we headed to Bandera for the day. We went to Bandera first. The Roberts, West and us we did a little looking around and then we had lunch at the river cafe in Bandera. We needed dessert so we decided to go to Medina, Texas and the apple orchard. They did not have apple dumplings but we got slices of apple pie and some got turnovers. We then got some apple ice cream for the road. We came back and rested some before we left to go see the Buddy Holly Story. The Roberts decided not to go so the West and us went. We had great seats and enjoyed it a lot. Brought back lots of memories with the music and the dress. Guess we are showing our age. It was really good but we had to keep watching the sky off to our right as there was quite a lightning display and we thought the play may have to stop but we were lucky and they finished it. We were not back to camp but about an hour and the rains came. Yea how they need it. For once we were not disappointed that it rained.
We started out walking this A.M. and noticed that one of the horses was out and the worker was trying to catch it.
Then we headed over to feed the fish.
