YAH Social Feb. 16 2015

All Messiah and area seniors are invited to our monthly social in Messiah’s Fellowship Hall on the third Monday of the month, beginning at 1:30 p.m. to approximately 4:15. Don announced that our future Socials will start at 1:00 to give us more time to socialize then eat and play games.Everyone thought this was a good suggestion.
We had a great assortment of food today. Everyone enjoyed the choices.
Tables were set up with our regular games and all had a great time.
We had some that just visited and others enjoyed the games.
looking forward to next month.

Trip to Tolar Jan 2015

Our Granddaughter is #23 for The Tolar Lady Rattlers 2015. We were able to combine a RV rally with a visit to Tolar to get to see her play two games. The first one was their first loss of the season, the second one they won and obtained the position of their district playoff games. One more and they will have the District championship for 2015.

She is the fourth generation of Basketball player from her mothers side of the family. We are very proud of her. She is just a freshman but made the varsity team.

we felt bad that they had not lost a game until we went to see her play. we were hesitant to go to Fridays game but they won it so we were not asked to leave. LOL.

She will be 15 on the 22nd. of the month. Time flies.

We went and did some shopping while there. because our son was working, our daughter-in-law was and Lauren was in school.

We left just ahead of the rain, and cold had already started to move in.

Our first outing was to travel to Hico Texas to see Lauren play a basketball game. First we had to get a bite to eat here.

DeMontromd Rally Jan 2015

Well we had another Rally here in Corsicana, Texas this week and had a great time. The weather was a little cool, however; we all were able to stay warm and enjoy ourselves and friends.

Dean and Shirley Parker were able to come up to the rally, however; while getting set up the tow car started to roll and Shirley tried to stop it and the car door knocked her down and she broke her hip and had to be transported back to Houston for surgery.. Lynn and Carla came up the next morning to get CoCo and take the RV and Coco back to Houston for them. A big THANK YOU from everyone for them to come do that. We were so sorry that Dean and Shirley had to go thru this. Shirley at this time is in rehab in Pearland very close to their home.

We had a small number of RV's show up for the DeMontrond Travelers Rally, there were quite a few cancellations..
Joe and Janet's dog brandy had to be taken to the Vet due to hurting her leg in the RV, she is OK nothing broken and is good now.

Sharon Goodlett and Janet Lambe both got their RV's out of the shop and were able to attend also.

our Host team were great. One of the couples, the LaCostas, had just joined our club in Victoria last year The Halls did a great job with them..Thanks go out to all four of them.

A lot went to The Navarro Pecan Company, the Russell Stover Candy or the Collin Street Bakery.

Played a lot of games and visited.

We took a vote and everyone there said they would come back again.
