Christmas 2010
We had a very nice Christmas and were glad to be together. We had our chinese Christmas on Thursday night while Mike, Jana, Leah and Lauren were here. On Christmas Eve we baked, did last minute shopping, sewing with Lauren and visiting with all until the Franklins had to go back to Tolar that afternoon. We went to 9 o'clock Christmas Eve services and then home to wait for Santa. George and I went to our other son, Don's house Christmas morning and watched Colleen, Cody, Patti and Don open gifts. Joann, Patti's Mom was also there. We had a little lunch with them and headed home to wait for the rest of the Grandkids to open presents. That evening we ate again. Sounds like the RV Rallies. LOL We were bleesed with our health and looking forward to a much better 2011 we hope. Have a Happy New Year to All and see everyone soon.
Merry Christmas 2010

This hangs by our back door that everyone uses.

Thanksgiving 2010
Thanksgiving at our home 2010.
It is always a blessing to have everyone at our home for Thanksgiving.
Everyone seem to enjoy the day and time we all shared.
We had a great Thanksgiving as we all visited and ate too much. Mike, Jana and Lauren were able to make it in from Tolar and that was a nice surprise to our day. Lauren was a big help in the kitchen she helped Grandma make the blueberry-banana pies and the banana pudding that morning. She set the table and got the glasses already for us. Patti and her Mom, Joann, with the help of Colleen made all the other pies and Casey made a new recipe of mini pumpkin muffins and the were a hit especialy with her Uncle Don, we quit counting after awhile. The guys were watching the football, of course and we were all schocked when Stan and Sheri arrived and HE HAD AN AGGIE HAT ON, THIS DIE HARD LONGHORN WEARING MAROON. Cody carved the turkey and Dillon helpd to give some advice on it. Monty and Casey had come from his Grandmothers dinner already so they had to eat light and wait for the desserts. As you can see Papa is not in a picture that is because he was busy taking them , someone got tired of the pics and hid his camera for awhile he was going all over trying to find it, you had to be here to enjoy the fun we all had watching him. A perfect ending to a Thanksgiving Day was the WHOOP WIN OVER THE LONGHORNS. What cold be more perfect. GO AGGIES!
I had to have a cover sheet for this.
Pat, Lauren and Jana Franklin, notice the boots?
On wed. evening we had to go to a favorite place to eat, El Gallo Mexican Restaurant.
Here is Dillon, Monty and Casey.
Our table at home to feed everyone.
Joann and Pattie guarding the desserts. They baked all the pies and Casey made the mini pumpkin muffins still covered.
Looks like football is on today.
Mike and Don discussing Mike and Jana's new house plans. They are going to build a new home in Tolar, Texas.

Veteran's Day Nov. 11, 2010
Well it is Veterans Day 2010 and I wanted to share with everyone what happened today.
CCS students, staff, faculty and families gathered today in a special Veterans Day Assembly to honor the men and women of our armed forces.
This card was made by Mary Syms a teacher at Cypress Christan School. Thank You.
Several studnts wrote a message of Thanks on the inside of the card. What a Nice Gift for Veterans Day. Thanks to all.
This was me in 1957.
The school also presented all the Veterands that came to the school today with a very nice Lapel Pen with a Cross and the American Flag. What a wonderful gift.
This is Cody Franklin a grandson, that is a senior at Cypress Christian School, and gave the above card to me.
A close up pic of Cody Franklin.
This is leaving our home this morning. This set the tone for the rest of the day.
We arrived at Cypress Christian School as they were to honor veterans today.
This is very nice and remins me of what Freedom means, we as Americans can display our thoughts as we see fit. And our beliefs.
God Bless America.
